Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Group Rooms Coordinator is to oversee the operational and system processes involved in managing group arrivals and departures for a designated hotel. 

Work Performed:

The Group Rooms Coordinator will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Group Management including creating, changing, and cancelling blocks in all systems;
  • Manage inventory of existing group blocks based on the pickup activity and needs of the hotel;
  • Enter Rooming Lists and building Group Booking Links;
  • Audit groups in the Sales and PMS systems within 90 days to ensure they are in balance;
  • Managing rooms only blocks and courteous blocks;
  • Update forecast line in sales system with pickup numbers for forecasting purposes; and
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications:

Required Prior Experience:

2+ years of group management experience

Preferred Prior Experience:

Prior hotel sales office experience

Required Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Required Technology:

Proficient in Microsoft office; Must be proficient in both sales & brand systems

Physical:

Up to 8+ hours sitting a desk and computer work

Other:

Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to effectively multi-task
