Type: FULL TIME
Approximate shift range: 9am-6pm (hours may vary)
Must have Open Availability including Weekends and Holiday's
Pay scale: $19.50-$22.50 per hour
The Holiday Inn at the Portland Airport features 284 guest suites and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. The hotel is located less than a mile outside the Portland International Airport, seven miles from downtown Portland, and nine miles from downtown Vancouver. The hotel has convenient access to public transportation reaching the suburban areas of metro-Portland.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILTIES:
The Housekeeping Supervisor will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner
Train and coach housekeeping associates
Provide direction, support, timely feedback and recognition of performance
Inspect guest rooms and public spaces
Assign and monitor daily operations
Manage Lost and Found by tracking items and communicate with guests for items to be returned
Promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts of the hotel
Assist with scheduling employees
Conduct daily stand up with the housekeeping team
Use laundering equipment to safely and thoroughly clean and press linen, keeping the work area clean and safe
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report equipment problems and maintenance issues, accidents, injuries and safety hazards, or unsafe work conditions to leadership
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Prior Experience:
- Housekeeping experience
- Management/supervisory experience
Preferred Skills:
- Hospitality experience
- Housekeeping leadership experience
- Basic computer skills
- Bilingual preferred
Physical:
Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally and 25lbs regularly
Able to bend and squat repeatedly
Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift
FELXIBLE SCHEDULE: Hospitality is a 365 & 24/7 business. Situations may arise when you may be called in for: day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
